Hi Friends!
Been a while since I shared here, but I couldn’t miss the opportunity to give you a peek inside Lavender Hill Farm. This beautiful lavender farm is located in Boyne City, MI, and was a real treat even on a cloudy day. Mom and I decided to make the trip and we loved every minute. From the moment we parked, we were escorted by such friendly staff and quick transportation to the main events area. We decided to take advantage of a guided tour and witnessed every inch of magic here.
It was hard not to get swept up in aroma of 30 different varieties of lavender (more than 13,000 plants!), American flag feature, a labyrinth, close-ups with Italian honey bees, U-Cut opportunity, lovely perennial beds, drying barn, distillation area outfitted with a stunning alembic copper still (which apparently I was so excited about I forgot to photograph – doh!), future boutique events barn and culinary kitchen, gift shop (hello, lavender vodka) and views views VIEWS! This farm spans over 33 acres and we can’t wait to go back!
They have great spots to enjoy lunch or have a picnic, tons of workshops to choose from and some nice concerts coming up. I, personally, felt really inspired to keep building our farm dreams too. So many great ideas rushing into my head!
I hope you can make a visit and support this beautiful farm here in northern Michigan. Peek bloom in July was perfect timing! If you are looking for more info, they are active on facebook, instagram and have a great website with online shop too!
I would love to share more local farms! Have any favorites? Please drop their names below!
Cheers!
