Hello, friends!
Its been a little while! Grad school has been keeping me busy and in my free time I’m experimenting with all the potions. Its lots of work, but very enjoyable.
Like you, I still have chores. Laundry is my most dreaded of all time. I just HATE it. And every time I talk about making a batch of laundry soap someone needs the recipe. Thankfully, its so so simple and easy. Here’s the 3 ingredient recipe I have been making for years!
In a large stainless steel bowl, combine:
(1) 4 lb box Borax laundry soap
(1) 55 oz box Washing Soda
(2) bars Fels Naptha or Castile soap, finely grated
Mix it up and whaa lahhhh! You’re done. I use 2 Tablespoons per load. If you wanted to add essential oils you could, but I find a couple drops on a wool drier ball is much more effective for a fresh scent. Lavender, Stress Away, Citrus Fresh or even Palmarosa aromas are lovely.
The two of us don’t have excessive washing to do so this batch will last us 6 – 8 months. Enjoy!
